The Diploma course in Clinical Hypno-Counselling is designed to support suitably qualified graduates in full Hypno-analytical practitioner status and consequently eligibility for a Health Insurance cover for Clients from those funds which provide for Hypnotherapy. Eligibility requires Clinical Membership of an appropriate Professional Organisation such as AHA, ASCH etc.

The Foundation certificate is the minimum requirement for a place on the Diploma Course. This course requires students to complete a further 900 hrs which may be reduced by granting recognition for prior learning and/or current practice.

At least 230 hrs must be practical and/or supervised work over the 10-12 months.

The course requires students to attend three (3) 6 day intensive Supervised Practicals which are usually spread over 12 months.Tuition is practical and intensive and there is continuous assessment of each student’s progress via Workbooks which are signed off when completed.

In addition time is made available for discussion on any problems which may have arisen with the distance learning component of the course. Required home study consists of a recommended reading list in addition to the manuals provided. Students are required to submit a small number of learning assignments.Tutoring is available by arrangement as Interactive On-line sessions employing SKYPE Video.

Assignments

Over the period of twelve months there are Two test exercises which are fully covered in your manuals and selected readings, and a Self-concept paper, plus a final 50 multiple choice questionnaire. A 75% (or higher) grade is required for a pass. It is possible to re-sit with a different Exam paper.

Practical Classes

The three 6 day intensives are used to clarify and elucidate the material learnt in the non-contact mode and provide opportunity for demonstration and practice. Included in the 6 day intensives are practical Workbooks with specified Practical tasks to be undertaken under Supervision. In addition a number of different psychotherapeutical approaches which are suitable for use in combination with Hypnotic techniques to treat certain disorders will be introduced, demonstrated and practiced.

Certain relevant techniques from Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) will also be introduced with specific application to common disorders. Training Analysis Each Student is required to begin Personal Therapy and analysis in their Diploma year. In addition to opportunities provided in Class under Supervision via the workbooks, ICHP(Australia) will provide a list of suitable therapists who are accredited to conduct personal therapy on ICHP students. Each student should maintain a journal that monitors their own self-development and enter the hours taken and their self-development in their log Book.

You will receive a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy. This Certificate accords you practitioner status and is recognized in all the countries where ICHP is recognized (see inside cover of prospectus).

It provides evidence of an ability to conduct comprehensive and ethical Hypnosis, Hypno-psychotherapy and Analytic Hypnotherapy. It also provides entry into the Advanced diploma of Hypno-psychotherapy and if required the Associate Degree course.
